Join ACMP Florida's First Thursdays meeting this month for a look at Leading Change Management Initiatives Using Trauma-Informed Principles.
Trauma is a shocking and dangerous event that someone sees or experiences, and it’s associated with levels of stress that can harm physical and mental health.
Leading dynamic organizations through change is already difficult but it’s even harder to launch an organizational-wide change effort when navigating through disclosed or undisclosed trauma experienced by staff.
Asking organizations with high collective levels of personal trauma to take on high-stakes, transformational change may increase staff resistance, dissension, burnout, unintended harm such as secondary traumatic stress and vicarious trauma resignations or overall apathy to any new organizational projects. This presentation will cover critical stages of change, how to identify and prevent risks and barriers associated with trauma, moving the organization and individuals from their current state to the future state while managing trauma throughout the change lifecycle.
Join ACMP Florida and our speaker, Dr. Dawn Emerick, in this highly interactive session.
